"A mix between football and art"

The New York Cosmos are back or at least back playing exhibition games while they work behind the scenes to reestablish themselves as an official franchise of the Major Soccer League. Once again Pele is acting as the ambassador for the team, a role he first took on back in 1975 when he joined a football team in its infancy. At the moment the team have to make do playing friendly matches (think Harlem Globe Trotters), while being managed by Eric Cantona and offering games to ageing stars. All the same, they are a cool 'brand' and there's some really nice imagery... check out the supporters club - Borough Boys site and a fans perspective here. It's a really iconic badge too... designed by Wayland Moore, a sports artist from Atlanta, the concept behind the Cosmos was to be as accessible to as many people as possible.

Name the films... these two posters were featured in the film quiz at the Roxy this week. To make it a little more challenging, all the details and the cast names are removed at the quiz (pretty big give away). Cool posters though, especially like the first one.
