I'm obsessed with this song at the moment (I'm not the only one, it's got like, 10 million hits or something on Youtube), it's annoyingly infectious. Give it 2 weeks and I'll hate it and deny that I ever downloaded it of iTunes.
A cult hit in Spain (apparently), the video for Papa Topo's 'Oso Panda' features the kidnap and torture of an innocent panda (I have no idea if he is innocent or not... in fact I have no idea what is going on) but it's still quite entertaining.
Reminded me a bit of Father Ted's 'My Lovely Horse'....
Directed by Thomas Vinterberg (co-founded Dogme 95 with Lars von Trier), the vid for Blur's No Distance Left To Run captures all four members of the band sleeping, according to wikipedia, Alex James dreamt he "was in Germany in a karaoke bar. I think I was a leopard for a minute." Great song, great vid.
Pendulum have taken advantage of new technology for their upcoming album and taken the music video to a new level. The video has been shot in 360 degrees and allows the viewer to interact with it by spinning the camera to something else that maybe happening off screen. It almost forces you to interact with it by having the characters in the video move around the camera which (unless controlled) is static. On top of that, there is the possibility of a free MP3 download, which can only be achieved by finding a 6 letter code in the video, so there's definitely some replay value. Visit the website here.
M.I.A's video for 'Born Free' was banned by Youtube within 24 hours and it's not that surprising, it's a pretty graphic portrayal of the extermination of red heads and it's brutal, be warned.
Nice vid for Naive New Beaters new track 'Live Good', maybe taking a little inspiration from Bob Dylan's video for Subterranean Homesick Blues and turning it up a few notches, pretty cool anyways.
Reminded me of Metronomy's fookin' excellent effort for 'A Thing For Me', bloody brilliant, please see below...
